Summary

The Account Manager is integral in leading key client relationships and provides project management support from project kick-off to completion. The Account Manager sets the standards for seamless process management, and identifies opportunities to grow client relationships. This person will work closely with the Strategy, Creative Media, Social Media, PR and Video teams to provide the client with a holistic relationship across the agency.


Job Description

  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams both at the agency and client level
  • Responsible for strategic planning, proposal development, maintaining timelines, managing budgets and working closely with project management to make sure projects are completed on time, within budget and to clients’ satisfaction
  • Work closely with senior partner and directors responsible for these accounts
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s organization and business needs in order to become a trusted advisor
  • Communicates with clients on all matters, including expectations, scope creep and issues of a sensitive nature with professionalism
  • Collaborates with clients on all matters, including expectations, scope creep and issues of a sensitive nature with professionalism
  • Collaborates with internal team members on appropriate resources and ensure high quality deliverables
  • Manage clients’ projects using established agency software, policies and procedures
  • Maintains a regular flow of information between the client and the internal team ensuring alignment
  • Write and edit copy for creative briefs/proposals/case studies, is a clear communicator and engaging presenter
  • Coordinates monthly client billing, reviewing and approving invoices
  • Desire to dive deep into client’s category and business and use this understanding to connect strategy with the right tactics to drive business goals

Job Requirements

 
  • 3+ years of experience as Account Manager with B2B and B2C experience
  • BS/BA in marketing, business or communication, or additional related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an agency environment, handling all facets of account and project management
  • Experience in leading clients in strategic marketing and brand direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong organization skills, accountability, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage numerous projects with an attention to detail
  • Must be able to think “big picture” while accurately overseeing the details of multiple projects
  • Must be able to handle sensitive client interactions with tact and diplomacy.
  • Desire to work cooperatively with others as a team player
  • Occasional business travel required
