Director of Web + Digital

The Director of Web + Digital leads the strategy and execution of our web and digital marketing efforts. Through the realization of our core values—Scrappy. Honest. Kind.—they provide the leadership that helps us deliver exceptional work to our clients while maintaining a productive and happy team. This position leads planning and analysis efforts on behalf of the department, working closely with the partners and other department managers. They are the champion for our capabilities and are always looking for new opportunities to expand and mature our abilities throughout the team and agency. Maintaining visibility and interactions with various teams through the project lifecycle, from strategy through launch, is critical for this position. They are expected to help the team identify and adapt to challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the growth and evolution of web and digital within the organization
  • Provide organizational strategy for web and digital efforts
  • Management of web design and development staff
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to web design and development staff
  • Management of contractor and freelance resources
  • Collaborate with other departments and supervisors on strategy and execution
  • Design and implement web and digital strategies for clients and projects
  • Champion strategic approach to digital campaigns and supporting creative
  • Lead estimating efforts for web and digital opportunities
  • Identify and address opportunities and threats to success and growth
  • Regular analysis and response to department and project performance
  • Assist with traffic management and assignments
  • Work with Tech on IT support for dev and production environments
  • Provide oversight and assistance with production of web and digital projects
  • Assist with analysis of SEO/SEM metrics and reports
  • Oversee development, analysis, and adjustments to workflows and best practices
  • Oversee strategy for privacy compliance assistance, such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Assist with execution and follow-up for project retrospectives
  • Manage web software and tool
  • Participate and occasionally lead client presentations and pitches

What You'll Need

  • Track record of varied and successful web and omnichannel digital campaigns
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in group settings
  • Presentation skills and experience with client pitches
  • Experience with various tool sets for web design and development
  • Experience with online, web-based marketing tools and technologies
  • Experience with budgeting and projections
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely in technical and narrative formats
  • Problem-solver in individual and team settings
  • Experience with SEO/SEM strategies and analyses
  • CMS experience, particularly WordPress
  • Knowledge of DevOps, web hosting, DNS and security practices
